look if we consider light as photons then each photon has energy as packets….actually phtons are energy packets only.
and if we consider light as a wave then there is some other formula for calculating energy.then when do we have to consider light as wave and light as particle?

i agree. even though quantum mechanics has proposed and then confirmed that the newtonian physics has far too many flaws, but in this regard (light as wave or particle), nothing has yet been proved incorrect. by incorrect i mean that for proving wave nature of light you have various experimental proofs, like interference n diffraction, which particle nature can not explain. and vice versa, effects like pair production, compton effect n photoelectric effect can only be explained by particle nature n not by wave nature.
so as far as i’ve read till now, scientists do insist that light has a dual nature. some things can be explained by one, and the others by the other one. hence, none can be ruled out as wrong.
